Take Photos, Make Music, Leave An Impression.
Loud Blue is a website and social media project, that adds musical soundtracks to people’s Instragram shots. Take an Instagram photo, tag it #LoudBlue, share it on Twitter, and receive a link back from @loudblue to a unique piece of music that represents the image.
The system uses an algorithm, created in partnership with Brazilian DJs Felguk to analyse data from photographs to trigger different musical genres and sounds. Darker images are more intense, a face will add a vocal track, a group of faces a chorus.
As well as creating the music, Felguk will also produce a song sampling users’ Loud Blue photo-track creations, inspired by the photographic theme “My Brazil”.
Cat photos have never been so interesting.
Leave an Impression with the Passport Photo of Tomorrow.
Airports strip us of our identity. LAI is an installation for airport terminals that makes a creatively-interesting image of the user through motion capture. Positioned in the middle of the cookie-cutter travel retail, the Leave An Impression (LAI) installation consists of a 2.5 m high pod, powered by Microsoft Kinect, with three screens, infrared and digital cameras and photo imaging software. The installation reads the traveler’s body; their clothing colour, their motion, their proximity, and creates an algorithmically generated reflection that they can manipulate through motion. Their impression is uploaded to a gallery and travellers can publish their profile socially from there. LAI is currently in Amsterdam’s Schipol airport.

Introducing tshirtOS… the world’s first programmable T Shirt.
Wearable, shareable, programmable and 100% cotton.
With tshirtOS we continue our collaboration with Ballantine’s - creating tools to enable people to Leave An Impression - by taking the original canvas of personal expression, the t-shirt, and upgrading it for the digital age.
Fully programmable by an iOS app and boasting a full colour 1024 pixel screen, accelerometer, headphone jack and megapixel camera, tshirtOS can do whatever you can think of.
Produced in partnership with wearable tech company Cutecircuit, tshirtOS is currently in early prototype, but we’ve a plan to ship the product in the near future, if enough people want it… Would You Want One?
You can register your interest at www.tshirtOS.com. Look out for some field tests in the coming weeks :)
